How something that wasn’t working led to
doing more of what works.
It started when an investment analyst covering the TMT sector realized that traditional research management software wasn’t working for anyone.

In his day-to-day routine, he saw that his team kept bumping up against inefficient research processes that not only slowed things down, but also opened up the firm to potential missed opportunities and compliance risks.

The analyst saw there was a lot about the typical research processes that could be made more efficient with the right software. So, he enlisted the help of two friends – a consumer software designer and an enterprise platform engineer – and in 2011, they built the prototype for what would become the first modern research management platform.
Today, Mackey has become the research management platform of choice for leading traditional asset managers, alternative fund managers, pensions, endowments and superannuation funds.
